The One Single Roses Bloom workshop series encourages bright youngSTARS and seasoned adults to live out loud while following their passions. Workshops are tailored towards building/rebuilding self-esteem and taking the word “can’t” out of our vocabularies while pushing forward in the pursuit of dreams. We are all stars! Motivational workshop series

Pictured herein are poets that traveled from around the globe to mentor with bright youngSTARS in Nairobi and Kisii, Kenya. My first trip to Africa was one that I will never forget.

These children were very attentive during our presentations. The greeting we received by the villagers when we arrived was one of the most beautiful greetings I’ve ever received

This young man is multi-talented. He has a group of actors/poets that regularly perform in Africa. It was a pleasure meeting and hearing him..

The youngSTARS in this photo were talented performers. We laughed so hard afterwards and they had me chanting their names in song as we walked through the village.

I believe I hugged and took selfies with every bright youngSTAR pictured here. The love I received after performing for them still lives in my heart.

I had the pleasure of opening for Gear Up’s Educational Conference at Wayne State University. The youngSTARS were so attentive with so much energy…I think I’ll have performance high for about a week.

These youngSTARS gave me life showing love on Valentines Day 2015 after my feature at Café Bella Coffee in Rio Rancho, NM

Honored to judge in the poetry category for Kroger’s “I Can Make History” Black History month art contest. Winning entries will receive $71,000 in music, art and poetry scholarships. I judged so many great pieces written by 7th graders. It was tough to choose, but I think I was fair… :-).
